Nestled in pine forest, just 20 minutes away from the sandy beaches and turquoise waters of the north, Ibiza Retreats offers holistic, transformational retreats, with embodied meditation, yoga, quantum energy coaching, sound baths and breathwork. Stay at a retreat home with Zen gardens, a sauna and ice baths. Enjoy nourishing plant-based meals, walk and swim in jaw-droppingly beautiful nature and emerge refreshed, with a toolkit for self-care back home.
our Reviewer SALLY BROWN says of her eivissa retreat:
‘I arrived at the retreat in a state that had somehow become my default – a bit scratchy and tense, with fragmented thinking and a low-level anxiety – but my transformation from uptight to uplifted started with the very first gentle yoga practice’
Queen of Retreats says:
‘Founder Larah Davis is a long-time Ibiza resident who’s as passionate about harnessing the healing energy of the island as she is about bringing about transformation. A clinically trained somatic yoga therapist, holistic leadership coach and quantum medicine alchemist, Larah follows up retreats with online coaching . The centre is truly regenerative, with water upcycling and composting’
Experiences
Retreats include ReVITALISE Yoga and Transformational Wellness Retreats, and the more advanced Embodying Soul Consciousness, which is ideal for leaders. Private retreats are also available.
ReVITALISE Yoga and Transformational Wellness Retreats promise to nourish your nervous system and help you tap into new vital energy as you practise empowering somatic flow yoga, restorative and yin yoga, meditation and self-enquiry.
Embodying Soul Consciousness is a transformational holistic leadership retreat that offers yoga and meditation (one at a clifftop at sunset), along with breathwork, a cacao ceremony, connection circles, sauna sessions with ice baths, blind-folded hiking and dance beneath the stars.
You’ll be guided by Larah Davis, along with psychotherapist Stephanie Canavesio, the founder of Presence Embodied Meditation, Anika Lefevre, the founder of Mystic Breath Journeys, and Maria Valdiva, an indigenous spiritual leader who shares ancient wisdom.
Enjoy barefoot, earthing walks, wander in the gardens and pick your own lemons for drinks, rest in a hammock or relax on poolside loungers.
Spaces
The Hekamiah Retreat Centre lies in pine forest between the villages of San Lorenzo and Santa Gertrudis, and was designed by architect Rolf Blakstaad, using sacred geometry to create a frequency of deep peace, alignment and clarity.
Lush pool-side Japanese-style Zen gardens are teeming with birds of paradise, bourgainvillea, ancient olive trees, fruit trees and herbs.
A geodesic dome is a special place for yoga, meditation, breathwork and magical musical journeys, while the sacred tree is the spot for welcome ceremonies and the start of morning walks. You can shake it all out on an outdoor dance platform, or express yourself beneath the stars round a firepit, flanked by towering palm trees. Near the sauna and ice baths there are beautiful, wooden outdoor showers.
Accommodation includes single or twin rooms in the Hierbas Garden Apartment, or two single and a twin room upstairs in the Pool Suites. A master bedroom with am Emperor bed and an indoor-outdoor Mexican bathroom with a couture tiled shower.
For a back-to-nature feel, try glamping and stay in double tents with a warm outdoor shower and compost toilet.
Sustenance
Ingredients for the menus come from regenerative, organic farms, and the food that is served is vegan and vegetarian, with some cheese made from the milk of happy, healthy, local goats.
Meals are free from refined sugars, gluten, caffeine and stimulants that upset the adrenal balance. You’ll start the day with teas and power-ball bites, along with a purifying, vitalising smoothie or juice.
Brunch may include eggs, along with chia pots, slow-created mueslis, yoghurts, handmade preserves, high-seed granolas, fresh salads and compotes and homemade gluten-free bread. Butternut squash and goat’s cheese tartlets and roasted vegetables are other brunch options.
Afternoon snacks feature a range of crudities and dips with dehydrated crackers. Minter watermelon sorbet is a favourite in summer. Unlimited herbal tea and fruited water are available all day.
At supper, expect international dishes like vegetable curries and herbed jasmine rice, with chapatis and homemade fermented dips, cucumber yoghurt and spicy salads. Desserts might be carob souffles with marmalade.
