Led by Dr Naresh Perumbuduri, a fifth generation ayurvedic doctor, and Therese Skovgaard Poulsen, an acclaimed Sanskrit scholar and senior yoga teacher, the team offers a meticulously curated programme, personalised just for you’
Experiences
The four-night Reset and Reconnect Retreat is a transformational break away from busy lives – an ideal space where you can relax and grow. You’ll start with an opening orientation and fire ceremony, and then days will begin with walking meditation, breathwork, meditation and yoga.
The rest of the time you’ll enjoy personalised ayurvedic therapies to rejuvenate you, restore balance and boost your vitality, along with insightful sessions with Dr Naresh and Therese.
There will also be a culinary workshop, nutrition talks and hands-on cooking sessions, as well as a shopping trip to a local market to buy produce and get tips on choosing ingredients.
Spaces
Casa Palmela is a serene white manor house set amidst vineyards and gardens, yet just a mile and a half from Arbarquel Beach. Once through the grand gates, you’ll travel along a long vineyard-lined road to get to the casa.
You’ll have your own room in the main house, where the 21 immaculate and tastefully decorated bedrooms have a classic and comfortable vibe. They all have private bathrooms, showers, air con, a desk, wardrobe and a kettle. Many have balconies overlooking the vineyards.
Relax by the outdoor pools or cosy up indoors in the shared lounge.
Sustenance
Dine in the Zimbral restaurant, where you can expect fresh flavours, texture and balance from food grown in the retreat’s gardens or by local suppliers.
Menus are based on ayurvedic principles and are curated by the executive chefs of Casa Palmela and Ananda in the Himalayas in India.
Each day you’ll be served breakfast, lunch and dinner, all specially tailored to your ayurvedic dosha (body type).
